This was actually our second stop (the first will be posted in a combo post later) which took us to the College Area...
near my college alma mater, SDSU. Over on College near El Cajon Blvd. is this strip mall. Look for Chase Bank. That's where this small and very new (two months new!) coffee shop is. They were on my radar because as I was searching for coffee places on my Entertainment Value book app, it popped up during a search and I hadn't heard of it before.

I didn't know bun's now had two N's. :)

Using my online app coupon

I got one of our sandwiches for free (buy one get one). The gal working the counter hadn't encountered it before and since they are pretty new, were surprised that they were on the coupon app. I ordered a breakfast panini for me (egg, cheese, bacon and avocado on pumpernickel, which was a pleasant surprise to me) while Bert chose the Bagel Buster - turkey kielbasa, cheese, mustard and bechamel sauce. While I liked the turkey sausage in his sandwich, I thought all of the different flavors were overkill. Too much going on.

Their decor included clockwork gears and burlap coffee bean sacks. It wasn't that crowded the day of our visit, but one large table looked like a study/discussion group was going on.

Our drinks - my iced mocha (after sugar and cream was added) and Bert's caramel mocha with soy. Neatnik that he is, he didn' particularly like the caramel drips on the edges. It looked kind of sloppy but he really enjoyed his smooth drink.

Both sandwiches were served with a tiny wedge of yellow melon and a mandarin orange slice. Since I already had something small at our previous stop (85C), I saved half of mine for TC to enjoy later (sounds familiar, eh)...

The overly sauced bagel...It could have used more sausage. It was too bready.

This....now this was good.

Service was really nice and friendly here. Lots of young college kids here and I'm sure this is a college hangout when school is in session as well.

Love how they wrapped up my sandwich!

Nice touches like this plus the good service make for return customers...

This place will give me another reason to visit the College Area...
