On top of our piano is this...
a carved olivewood mini Nativity set from Israel along with a Nativity sorpresa from El Salvador...

On my coffee table are a couple of plates with Santa Playmobil figures. If you press a small lever on the organ, it plays Christmas songs.

I bought these Santa figurines along with that Mr. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man-looking figure rom Bad Madge a few years ago...

My Christmas Klik-Its, a wanna be Pez and a trio of new mini figures ($1 each from The Gallery Next Door in South Park) of Juan Diego (there is a figure of the Virgin of Guadalup in the front of his robe along with the cloak of roses), Mary, and Jesus. I also bought a glass pendant also featuring Jesus. In the corner is a Father Christmas ornament (obscured) bought from a fundraiser back when I was still in junior high. It's next to a one-handed Jesus statue that I received as a Communion gift back in 2nd grade (we're talking the 1970's here). I remember washit the statue and his hand broke off and thought I would be going to you know where because of that. Yikes, haha.

In our living room, I had a mini tree on the coffee table, and a smaller one on the dining table. They are decorated with mini wooden figures atop a glass cake stand. I also have these wooden thumb spring toys bought many years ago from Cost Plus Market. When you press your thumb under the cylinder, the figures move through springs/rubber bands.

Our tree after TC put on the capiz star topper (which does not light up). Many of the capiz ornaments (shaped like stars, lanterns, and cylinders) were bought in the late 90's, before TC was born, at the now defunct Tatak Pilipino in the Los Feliz neighborhood in L.A. This was before Los Feliz became hipster; it was a bit of a run down neighborhood back then. Our tree has a variety of ornaments in addition to the capiz ones, such as red balls, ornaments given as gifts from friends and students, along with assorted pop culture icons like Star Wars figures, Marvel, Animal fro the muppets and my favorite of all, ornaments made by TC in elementary school.

Can you spy the Star Wars themed ornaments?

Just a few more days until Christmas...

I love your Star Wars ornaments! Isn't it funny how you acquire all of the ornaments over the years and each one has it's own memory? We have this silver shiny reindeer that we've put on our tree since I was little and it's down to one leg now, haha. I got a donut ornament in Portland that I love so much (it's a cruller, too).
Thanks! Some of them are pretty small and I think might have been for a mini tree. No matter, we hung it. We have some porcelain Yoda and C3PO ornaments. The hand of one broke off and Bert had to glue it together. The mutant ornaments are hung in the back of the tree, ha ha.
I bet that donut ornament is so cute!! That would be awesome to cover the tree with food related ornaments.
Awwww- one legged reindeer!
