It turns out that the Catahoula Coffee Company is named after a Louisiana dog breed...

The Catahoula is also known as a "leopard dog"! Hmmm, you learn something new everyday!
Bert wanted to get a cup before we headed over to a local donut joint...
The yelp page for this place featured latte art, but Bert just wanted a drip coffee.

Their fancy roasting machine...

and if you look closey, you can see a framed poster of a Catahoula dog!
The opposite wall had Mexican inspired Day of the Dead arwork by a local artist, Tito Davidson.

I had to snap this since it was Frida Kahlo depicted as the Virgin of Guadalupe!
They had a cool set up of whole beans and their dispensers. On top of the cabinet were framed photos of dogs of all kinds.

It smelled so good in here...

No latte art since Bert wasn't feeling it for that type of coffee today...

Some of their merchandise:

It was pretty small in there and dark with many of the patrons working o their laptops. We were in and out pretty quickly.
In an adjacent lot, they had a food truck (or should this be termed a van or camper?)...

Bert thought the coffee was on the bitter side and not quite as smooth as he would have liked. He still liked it because he was craving a hot drink...
