Here is one last look at the lovely San Gabriel mountains as we left Pasadena...
Traffic wasn't that bad actually. I marveled at the trolley (or train?) that was in the middle of the freeway...

Cathy pointed out these gigantic beer bottles near the Miller brewery...

She said they were decorated differently the last time she traversed that stretch of freeway.

We were both getting hungry and wanted to make a dinner stop before going home. Cathy knew of a place she thought might hit the spot...

Tom's Farms has been a "destination" for travelers since 1971. It's like Disneyland here. There are restaurants, shops, stores selling sheds, furniture, local produce, cheeses, wines, pastries, candy, souvenirs, a carousel, tractor, train and pony rides for the kids, a mini man-made lake, and more!

The ponies...

Yee haw - Shed World!

A small craft market. I bought a few bottle cap magnets with the characters from "The Regular Show" on them for TC.

One of the many restaurants here. This one featured Mexican food. Another specialized in barbecue.

One of the food shops...

Farm equipment on display...

One of the many food stands here.

This shop sold cheeses and wines.

Inside were more tempting treats like local pies...

and sweet snacks...

and pastries!

There's the lake...

and the carousel for the kiddos (and adults)...

The topiary is shaped into the logo for Tom's Farms.

Inside one of the produce stores...

Fancy sodas and a wall of jerky...

Packaged candies and nuts galore!

More candy!

We hit this place up after we had dinner (post to follow)...

Snacks that I bought for TC and Bert...

Those butter toffee almonds were really good! Toffe nut anything makes Bert happy.
Here is Cathy's previous post on Tom's Farms from January 2009.

and because I'm anal like that, here's a quick video/commercial for this place:
EVERYTHING is here!
Up next, our basic but satisfying last food stop...

GREAT post! You had a photo of just about everything, and the ad at the end showed things I did not know were here!!! There are decorations and more around Christmas. (The transportation is called "Metro" up there. They are extending it more in the center between the East and West 210.)
thank you! and thanks for the clarification on the public transpo - "Metro".
i'm sure Tom's Farms looks very festive during Xmas time!
