One recent reviewer on that four lettered site mentioned that they had..."cronuts" so I thought we would try checking it out...
You can't miss the sign with the big '24' on it...
They have their own parking lot too, but it's pretty small.
Don't mind the missing letters on the sign. It's supposed to say "San Diego's Finest Donuts"...
A quick perusal of their glass cases yielded no such elusive "cronuts" as well as no blueberry items either. They just had your basic selection of donuts here.

Some of their selection. No blueberry anything. The only other filled items besides the jelly donuts were fruit or cream cheese filled turnovers (not pictured).
This looks like it used to be an old Taco Bell or some sort of Mexican fast food place.
We only stayed long enough to do our donut "photo shoot". Kirbie's are at the top (old fashioned, glazed twist and buttermilk bar) and mine are the pair at the bottom (chocolate old fashioned and white glazed French cruller).
The cruller doesn't compare to the freshness of Mary's in Santee, but I thought I'd give this a try.
The old fashioned was for Bert. We only broke off a few pieces of one of our donuts before stuffing them back in our bags and heading out to our next destination.

So no, they DO NOT have cronuts here. At least the day we went. I have no idea WTF Tammy D. was talking about, but maybe it was a pipe dream or a unicorn-like sighting. The woman working there was a bit vague when I asked her about the cronuts. "Oh, sometimes...." and "Only when they feel like making it". What? Really? And there were no specific times or if it was offered on a regular basis when probed a little further by nosy me.

Haha the staff's attitude regarding cronuts made me LOL. I should visit more donut shops around here... always craving them and then end up just getting donuts from Von's. haha
hi Jinxi - yeah, she was pretty blase about it. This year has got to be the most donuts shops I have ever visited in my whole life! all in the quest for blueberry donuts too. i'm biding my time with the cronut.
speaking of Vons, kirbie said she saw somewhere that vons had their own version of the cronut. maybe you will spot one, eh?
This place used to have a sign (maybe it still does?) that says they're 24 hours. Nope! Not even! I went in once and they literally had no donuts. Only muffins. WHAT. We once got a giant box stuffed full of day old donuts for like $3 here, so many donuts we couldn't even finish the box. This place is just "okay" to me. Once when I went in, the lady said the donut maker dude didn't like making crullers so that's why they charged extra for them, haha!
i need to put up the photo with the sign. it does say 24 hours on it. I passed by the other day! thanks for the reminder.
