How could we not pass this up, right? So we walked over to give some goat a try...
Again, it was pretty early in the morning, only a little after 10 am.

We sat outside this time. At last year's food crawl, this is where we went since the line for Texcoco was out the door.

Again, we just had something small here...

Cathy suggested a trio of tostadas...

Although we didn't order any dessert, I had to ask the waiter was "jericalla" was. The waiter, who was Asian (which I thought was cool), said it was like a flan (I would later find out what it was and looked like at our next stop).

They have a roomy seating area in the front.

Fresh limes, radish, onion, and cilantro with salsa and chips were soon brought out.

Our tostadas de chivo (goat), res (beef), and rajas (roasted strips of poblano pepper).

Yeah, they're underneath all that lettuce, tomato and cheese. My favorite was the rajas which were nice and smoky. My least favorite was the goat, even though it wasn't "goaty" or strong tasting.

After this early morning snack, it was time to take a break and do a market visit!

Wow, only 4 yelp reviews TOTAL since I first posted on them last year? Heh?
We wanted to try our luck next at an infamous donut joint in IB, but first a trip to the Mercado!

I am now unsure whether I like birria or barbacoa more. Each was so unique from the two restaurants. The birria was nice and moist and both the beef and goat were nicely flavored...and that poblano tostada would be perfect for any meal. Thanks for showing me this place.
I like beef birria (or barbacoa) more than the lamb or goat. Beef!!!! Glad you liked Jalisco.
