This banner was near the end of Park and Adams where we were lucky enough to score a coveted parking spot.
Although I'd been here before (and only for dessert too), I thought it would be fun for Kirbie to check it out as well. Soltan Banoo has so much character and a lovely ambiance. The ladies working there are always nice too.

I swear, one of these days I will actually eat here for real food instead of desserts!

During our visit there, we admired a customer's cute dog, a Maltese/Yorkie mix. He was so adorable and very well behaved just sitting there in a corner. He would occasionally rear up when he saw passersby with dogs, but he never barked or made a fuss.

We had the Faloodeh ($5.95/which I had last time back in January) which is crushed ice with rosewater topped with waffled ice cream, pistachio nuts and lime syrup. I thought it might be nice to have someting icy and refreshing that day.

The glass that they used was not a wide mouthed martini glass like my last visit, making it a bit difficult to spoon out the ice. The lime syrup was really tart this time.

Three of these tiny desserts were only .75 each and formed a "platter" of traditional desserts normally enjoyed with Turkish hot coffee which we passed on that day. This was the gaz (nougat), Turkish Delight and the Persian baghlava.

Oh yes, there was also the resident restaurant cat who was walking around like he owned the place! He was so cute and even approached me and nearly climbed on my lap. Later on, another customer was playing with the cat by dangling his gold chain with medallion (sounds so "Bee Gees" doesn't it, haha) and having the cat swipe at it.

TC wants to go there again...not for the food but for the CAT, ha ha!
Previous visits:
"Three Times Dope" in January 2013 which also links my previous two visits (also for dessert).
We weren't quite done with our lunch/dessert excursion just yet. We had one more stop to go!

Thank you so much for taking me here! I loved it and definitely want to go back.
HI Kirbie - my pleasure. You and Mr. K should go for a full on meal there next time. I really like the ambiance there! Maybe the cat will be there again too! :)
