heading west on a weekend getaway..
TC was at art camp so we had a mini roadtrip this past summer.
We'd already enjoyed coffee at 10 Speed in Calabasas. It was time for another jolt of brown drugs over in Ventura, but not in any part of Ventura...
No, this coffee shop was in an industrial auto center. Not a place where you'd find a hipster coffee shop, eh.

Choices...it was a hot day and the cold brew sounded good.

Macchiato for Bert and cold brew for me. I knew it would be strong but WTH, we were on vacation!

Both drinks were excellent. I actually nursed my cold brew throughout that morning, screwing up my sleep patterns for later. The macchiato was perfect and smooth which Bert enjoyed.
The barista at the counter here also complimented Bert on his shirt which depicted a floppy disk, a VHS tape and a cassette bearing the slogan, "Never forget"). Heh heh.
Nearing one of the freeway bridges in Ventura, a cool laid back place to visit...

We would be driving on this time...

It was still pretty early in the morning and we were taking our good old time to get to Carpinteria...
