I hadn't ever driven this stretch of road before to get to the outlet but luckily it led me to the right place. I wanted us to try a snack at this kiosk...
Churros el Tigre, which is known for their churros (served in stick form as well as in sundaes!), icy slush drinks and of course Chamangos. We got the smaller serving. I forgot to get a side of 'lechera' (condensed milk). If you get the large (20 pieces, What! Better be hungry or have a large party with you!), it can come with chocolate. But no, I forgot and we had it plain which was fine by us.

The lady told me it would take about five minutes or so to fry up. No problem. We waited in the shade outside of the enclosed food court. You pay on the other side and pick up your snacks on this side.

Fresh out of the fryer and rolled in sugar and cinnamon.

These were so light and fluffy with a nice, crisp exterior. They taste so much better fresh and in smaller form too.
Who else has been to this location?
Josh from California Through My Lens" was here last year as well as Janice from Food is My Favorite who was here last just last month
Mary went to the Logan Heights location back in 2012...I believe this location is now defunct as it is no longer listed on yelp.
Here is a video from 5 years ago from the old location:
The set up is a little different in SY but the premise is still the same...extrude churro dough and fry it up in small batches.

Besides Donut Panic's new vegan churro donut, these churros were pretty good. I like that they were piping hot and fresh and not a monstrous sized Costco stick. The six piece combo is only $3 and won't break the bank if you're looking for a tiny taste of dessert while shopping.

We've been to the ( now nonexistent) location. Have been on the lookout for shops that include churro so as a menu item ( found one) and to have a stand alone cart---lucky you! Fresh is the best.
I was bummed that the stand doesn't exist anymore. Romescos also offers churros as a dessert, with dipping sauces as well.
The owner (Louie) closed up his market so no more churros there! It was too bad because we liked to get tacos across the street and then go for some churros. They also do churros at the Spring Valley Swap Meet on the weekends with the little cart. And I found Louie's original partner who was doing churros over in City Heights on the weekends at a place called Hot Dogs el Tigre. They give you much longer churros there (http://food.theplainjane.com/2015/07/15/hot-dogs-el-tigre-food-stand/). I love the freshly made churros - they taste SO much better than those long, skinny straight frozen sticks.
Good to know all this Mary! Thanks for the info. I want to check out Hot Dogs el Tigre next time. Fresh churros are always best. You would also like the churro vegan donut at Donut Panic. It's a churro in donut form. So light and airy. Man, I haven't been the Spring Vallehy swap meet in decades!
