we saw the owl logo of James Coffee...
a fairly new coffee place and currently one of the darlings of the craft bar coffee crowd. The coffee place is located in a warehouse that shares space with several other hipster-type businesses.

I had an iced cold brew that was pre-sweetened. TC had a vegan blueberry muffin that she enjoyed but I didn't (I thought it was dense and dry).

Bert had their Ethiopian pourover that was served in an oh-so-trendy Mason jar mug. He drank it black.

I thought his coffee had a very strong aoma. In fact, it smelled like dirt. Bert called it "earthy". I actually kind of gagged smelling it. I couldn't bring myself to sip it because the odor was so....rank?

Bert really wanted to give it a try. Their cold brew was sweeter than I expected. I would have to try something else next time (if there is a next time).

We ended up walking to the next stop in Middletown, rather than going back south to hop back onto the Little Italy Stop...One thing for sure, there aren't a lot of pedestrians in this part of town (Middletown)! Our next stop was a quick visit to Fashion Valley before heading over to the SDSU area...
