and each time I see it, I can't but think of how true it is...
As a local born and raised San Diegan, there is so much to see and enjoy in our county....
such as earlier this morning when Bert and I returned to WestBean after having been impressed by our earlier visit...

It was a nice and quiet morning. TC was at track practice and we were on our morning date. Bert made good on his previous desire to have one of their pourover coffees while I got to try their cold brewed coffee (previously, their tap was of commission). A few of the same guys working there from our first visit were there including one guy who brought his younger son.

Bert's Mexican pourover and my cold brew on ice. Bert's was smooth and not as strong tasting as the Ethiopian coffees he's had at previous coffee places. My cold brew was very smooth as well and hardly needed any sugar, although I did add a tiny bit, as well as cream after having a few unadulterated sips.

I always like how this looks...

I normally don't like my drinks in Mason jar mugs because it seems so pretentious, but for this reason alone, to see the cream mix slowly into the coffee, I do! Yes, I am easily amused.
Previous visit to WestBean:
February 2015
We weren't here for the food, just the coffee. The guys who work here are really nice. They have a clean bathroom and the prices are reasonable. They also roast their own beans so that is a big plus for us. We are definitely coming back soon...
I'll be on vacation in a week so I'm already making my list of coffee/donut/lunch spots to hit up with TC...

I always like watching the cream float down into the drink, too!
This place is fast becoming my fave coffee shop.
