The Patio on Goldfinch which took over the spot that never was (Papa Nanou, a Philippe Beltran venture that fizzled)...
There is a Patio on Lamont in Pacific Beach; this is the Mission Hills version.

The space is huge and beautiful. There is a fern wall on the front patio (not seen here but you can check out the links at the end for unadulterated interior shots) and in the back room as well. There is lots of light and again, it's a very lovely space.

March Madness....unfortunately later that evening, SDSU lost to Duke and therefore was kicked out of the tournament. Sad lemur.

We weren't too hungry so Bert and I shared the breakfast plate and a banana butterscotch muffin. The plate came with a housemade biscuit, diced fried potatoes, two sausage patties and scrambled eggs. I normally don't like muffins but the flavor combo of banana with butterscotch was too intriguing to pass up. It had a great outer crust and a moist flavorful interior. It was heavy in the hand and had that butterscotch goodness flavor throughout with real banana pieces.

Look at those sausage patties! I likes. It was a good thing we shared the plate.
Yes. This was a good choice.

OMG...I want this AGAIN.
We actually ate the rest of the muffin over at the coffee place down the street.

As we left, the place got more and more filled up. Their menu is on the pricy side and they serve the ever popular "New American" food, like upscale comfort food. It was worth a go and maybe we can return for a future brunch or lunch...
We needed our coffee fix before picking up TC, so off we went down the block...

Yes, I also liked the tiny silver dish with handles for the potatoes. Very cute!
