This particular day, I was out and about, I thought I would try the sandwich shop next to Thuan Phat...
In small letters on the sign is "Avian", but all I saw was "Sandwiches". They also sell water related items here, coolers and such.

It was packed with a mish mash of snacks, candy, lotto tickets, some personal care products (so random!). In addition to banh mi, they also sold smoothies and boba drinks.

Groovy bubble lamp.

Lychee smoothie (this is a rarity folk, since I hardly drink smoothies; I was just feeling it today) & egg banh mi.

Bread was okay - not a long baguette but the shorter loaf. Not expecting the eggs to be cooked this way and was unsure if the tomato was normal. I've had many egg banh mi at various posts and never had a tomato slice in one before. There was a smear of pate plus some pickled onions, some cilatro and a few thin slices of jalapenos which I picked out.

Okay but not great. I still like Cali Baguette's version and THH in Tustin. Their eggs are fried over hard, not soft like this, with lacy and crisp edges. The worst I've ever had was at Ba Le in City Heights (their eggs were poached which I hated).
At the register...

That was a bigass candy bar!
