Although it was Beignet Sunday, we opted not to get one...

We had our sights set on a few other treats for that morning..
There was a parklet outside where we enjoyed our breakfast. We saw a lot of the locals come in, a few had their kids in pj's still. It was very early because we had a lot on our (okay, MY) list of things to see and do that day...

My cousin and her daughter recommended a cinnamon roll so we got one of those, as well as one of their famous breakfast sandwich, as well as a quiche slice.

Other than the cinnamon rolls from Star Dust in IB, these are a very close second!

The parklet with succulent filled planter boxes..

Our trio:

Just LOOK at this...This was a cinnamon roll like no other. Ribbons of dough formed into a square and topped with a seriously sticky glaze that hardened pleasantly later on. The topping was like toffee candy.

The flaky slice of vegetable quiche:

The breakfast sandwich filled with bacon, cheese, eggs, and avocado. My niece raved about the biscuit and I have to say that it was just as good as she described it to be.

I think just about every place we went to in this neighborhood had succulents of some sort...

We liked everything we tried here. In retrospect, maybe we should have bought a beignet, but there will definitely be a next time because I am already plotting our summer road trip this year!
Here is a video from when they opened in 2011:
Both my former student (the one who got married the day before) and my cousin and niece were spot on in recommending Devil's Teeth!

Up next, a visit to the produce store across the street before heading to our next destination which promised a great view...

This looks great. I noticed the wedding Had Devils Teeth, so it really must have everything good. A place where I'd like to stop, regularly.
Yes, we liked everything there. We definitely wanted to try their savory items since we had a sampling of the sweet the night before. i like that they have a local bakery. the outer sunset is such a kickback/chill neighborhood and everyone supports each other there. Great local vibe.
You didn't get a beignet?! I mean, I can see why. But still! That cinnamon roll looks KILLER.
I know! We should've! Next road trip up, we will!!! and yes, that cinnamon roll was one of the best we've ever had.
