Holy Gelato!

A few blocks down from Peasant Pies and around the corner was a gelato place I looked up online...

We still had some room for some gelato, believe it or not...

Diagonally across the street from Donut World (which was on my list but we chose not to go)  was our dessert destination...

Holy Gelato! Yes, the exlamation point is not a typo.

The font is so 70's looking, like it should blare the name of a roller rink or something!  Very disco looking! There is a "halo" over the "O" as well.

They had so many flavor choices. We each opted for a small with up to two flavors.  Their flavors included honey lavender, goat cheese (sorry, I'll pass on those two), Thai tea, salted caramel,  as well as vegan flavors (made with soy milk I believe).

This place not only sold yogurt, but baby clothes and all kinds of pop culture items like posters, toys, and lunchboxes.

Our gelato delights:

This was mine, the appropriately named The Bomb (peanut butter chocolate) with Coffee Dutch Almond (coffee with dark chocolate chips and crunchy almonds)....

Bert's Creme Brulee with White Pistachio:

Mango with Cookie Monster Dream:

I liked mine the best. Bert's white pistachio gelato was not as nutty as he'd hope it would be. We liked our choices and with the sugar rush in our heads, made plans to get back to our motel to get ready for the wedding.

As an educator, you know you're old when you get invited to a former student's wedding (class of 2000). I've known her for 17+ years and it was an honor to be invited...
