I was secretly happy because I'd been wanting to go back there again after nearly a year since my last visit...
Their previously unwieldy name and signage had changed to a moniker that was shorter and easier to remember...
as compared to their old sign from last year...

Their menu was still the same. There was a line of folks waiting for their takeout.

Their specials - for you pumpkin lovers, they had a pumpkin curry.

The secret is calling ahead because it was excruciatingly slow waiting for our food. This place is so tiny and there is literally only one or two burners. Mr. TJ and I went back again today (I had Rubio's for lunch today) with La Ley and they both ordered the yellow curry. One improvement to this place is that they now have three tables in the front since there is literally no room inside the place. Sitting out on the tables at lunch is nice since you're in the shade, but you're on the sidewalk with a lovely view of the parking lot. Even though we waited nearly 25 minutes (which ate away at our lunch time), the food was pretty good. Again, we'll have to call our order in for the future.
Below, Mr. TJ's green curry, my iced coffee (not as good as Vietnamese, different style, I know!) and my Pad Kee Mao with tofu.

Mr. TJ also had red rice with his curry for $1 more. It has a nuttier taste to it than brown rice. Seems healthier too?

My noodles had a bit of a kick to it. I'll have to try this again with shrimp next time.

Both Mr. TJ and I loved the tiny Thai eggplants that they used in the green curry. They were still firm and I liked the crunchiness of the seeds.

Like I said, we went back again today (no pix) and I'm sure we'll be doing more lunchtime visits...
Previous visits to Thai Fresh:
October 2012 when TC and I had takout after watching "Paranorman"
December 2012 when D and I got a load of takeout after watching the movies
I didn't get any Thai for lunch today because I would be having Thai again later. Dinner would be at a relatively new Thai eatery on the western side of Chula Vista...one that I saw a few days ago while on the road and one that I had a coupon for as well...
