Well, this was Day 8 of our epic road trip across the Eastern Half of Canada with C and her family.
From Montreal, we headed back west towards Ottawa and arrived there around 9:30 pm.

It was pretty late but we were all starved so we ordered some takeout from a local place...
C's friends (the political power couple) had several menus to choose from so we chose Vietnamese while C and her family chose Greek. This was my bun with beef that Bert and I shared...

We were ravenous after that long drive in hot and horrid weather. We were also warned by C's friends to get out of the city as soon as possible to avoid gridlock and because of possible protests. We got in before any of that happened and traffic on the freeways wasn't as bad as we thought it would be.

TC's Pad Thai with chicken (which I guess was hidden under all that)...

Again, it was a super long day but we were take in the sights and sounds of old Montreal...
