Cream Pan 3x

We didn't have to be at the baby shower until 1 pm and it was still technically the "late morning"...

Our next stop was in the Old Town Tustin area...

Bert hadn't been here since our anniversary two years ago but I was recently here earlier this summer with Cathy...It was time for another revisit!

As seen in the parking lot...

The morning rush was gone and it wasn't quite lunch yet. No crowds, so yay!

Ah, what we came for was there...their famed strawberry croissants (only $1.40 each)!

Dried local apples were on sale...

as were their many delectable baked goods. I had my eye on the pecan cinnamon roll, recommended by Cathy (it's one of her husband's favorites)...Of course, you know what TC wanted...

See that sign? Yes, it's true!

Okay, let me preface this with, "We did NOT eat this all in one sitting!"!  This was just the photo shoot. We only ate the hot dog bread!

OMG, just look at this....fresh strawberries nested in a bed of crunchy, buttery, and flaky goodness and dusted with powdered sugar. Believe it or not, we only bought one (and it was devoured later at home upon our return

The pecan roll was also enjoyed later at home (and partly the next day). Man, Cathy wasn't kidding about the pecans in here. This thing was chock full of them ! Whole pecans, not just on the top but within the rolled pastry dough!!! This was one of the best pastries we've ever had...

And here is TC's (and ours too) fave, the hot dog bread. It's just as pretty as the one from Bon Epi.

This would be our last snack/bite before going over to the baby shower...

Wait, we, or rather TC, tried one of the other pastries. This was the melon pan, a bread that had a faint honeydew melon taste. It had that crumbly butter sugar crumb top that I like in Asian pastries. This was more of TC's snack than ours.

A few bites and we were on our way out!

Who else went to Cream Pan?
Mary went here back in July 2013 to try their strawberry croissants. Hher post has some awesome river tubing photos too! And this just in! Mary's latest visit before she and Jake and a friend went up to Big Bear!
More recently, Cathy posted on her multiple visits to Cream Pan this past August; it was one of our stops on our epic road trip to see Marvin's booksigning of "The Adobo Road" in Pasadena.

Previous visit to Cream Pan:
June 2013 which links other bloggers visits and my previous visit in 2011.

I'm itching to go back here again and want to find any excuse just to drive up north for another food road trip!

Haha, I just posted about this place again, too - we went here before we headed up to Big Bear. I am totally going to order that Pecan Roll on our next visit!! It must have escaped my notice this time, I was too busy daydreaming about the strawberry croissants. :)

This is the BEST bakery of all the bakeries and I honestly look forward to waking at 4 a.m., leaving the house at 5 a.m. and stopping here before 6:30 a.m. on the days we are driving to Pasadena for Rose Parade float activities. Thank you for introducing me to Cream Pan.
