This time for Christmas Day lunch at the male sibling's abode...
Same as the night before, but with differently sliced carrots. I had prepped the vegetables the day before to make my cooking process easier that morning.
The pancit was my contribution for lunch along with my mochi macapuno cake (shown fresh out and unsliced):

Thanksfully my brother has offered to host at his house for all of the major holidays since he has the biggest house. I like that he is trying to make sure my parents aren't stressed out by hosting and cooking at their house. They still brought several dishes though, but my sis and I brought stuff for the spread below (plus desserts):

Honey baked spiral sliced ham:

The uncut rib eye roast:

And here is my brother chopping it up. Be glad I didn't include the full frontal view of his t-shirt. It's basically a shirt that resembles a Christmas vest over a hyper realistic hairy chest with exposed nips and gut. The backside shows several "rips" in the shirt with an exposed hairy back. I don't think his girlfriend was that thrilled with this shirt, especially for their family photos, ha ha.

My mom's guisadong ampalaya (sauteed bittermelon with onions, garlic, tomatoes, and eggs). This is one of my favorite Filipino comfort foods.

My parents ordered this green bean and shrimp dish from their local Chinese joint:

Kare Kare (oxtail stew with peanut thickened sauce, bok choy and eggplants; bagoong can be used on the side). This is my bro's girlfriend's specialty:

My pancit bihon with lemons...I received the ultimate compliment from my parents today when they told me that they really enjoyed it.

The return of the queso de bola (or as my dad calls it, 'bola bola'; Edam cheese)...

Their nice table setting - Most of us adults sat here. My parents sat with the younger children at the kitchen area while the older teens and young adult nephews plus TC were in the family room.

The dessert table - the big platter has assorted rice cakes, called Kakanin, with shredded coconut on the side.

My mochi macapuno cake:

There were also assorted chocolates and a big can of Planters peanuts:

My sister made these treats - Snickerdoodles and two types of pretzel thin 'crack' cookies. It's similar to that recipe that uses Saltine crackers covered with butter and sugar and spread with chocolate chips that then melt and form a coating over the pretzel thin. She added a twist by making two types, the white chocolate and the regular. Her additional twist was adding coconut, which is one of her favorite flavors.

Bert's plate looked more "filled up" than mine, therefore more picturesque and blog worthy, so here it is. That gravy was pretty good - made by my dad for the prime rib.

My nephews' fun holiday shirts (nephew #1 had Carlton from "The Fresh Prince", ha ha!). This one is nephew #3 (both are my sister's sons):

Even though the plastic wrap was still on, my brother's parol from the Philippines looked quite nice:

Until next year's Christmas shindig...
