it's a new one!
Behold, the new Sparkling Heart Emoji people!
Happy Heart Day!
This year's new Pez include Skye from "Paw Patrol" (a Nickelodeon show which I've NEVER watched, but hey this character is pink!), Ariel (pink version), the new Sparkling Heart emoji and Minnie Boutique (has dots on the stem which matches her bow):
Plus the rest of the gang...also new this year is the Devilish face Emoji...
as well as Pinkie Pie, the pink My Little Pony...
and the somewhat ugly Cherub or Cupid Valentine Pez. These three new ones were acquired this year just to fulfill my compulsive tendencies...
As seen at Walmart...
Cute!
Plus these preservative/chemical filled snacks which I wouln'dt eat but wow, don't they look cute!
Bert and I had our pre-Valentine's dinner last night. New York strip steak, wilted spinach, sauteed mushrooms and onions plus pre-cooked mini potatoes pan fried in butter. I ended up cooking my steak a little bit more after this. I'm not too fond of the rare look but Bert really liked his meal.
We broke out the wedding china and had a bit of moscato as well.
I made dinner last night and requested for Bert to pick up the desserts at the bakery in Ranch 99.
Strawberry, Taro and Mango mini cakes. All were delicious.
It was a low key dinner. We haven't gone out for a Valentine's dinner in a long, long time. We're kind of over that, heh. I'd rather avoid the crowds and the overpriced dinners.
Earlier today, one of our student aides offered us some homemade chocolate dipped strawberries. This was really juicy and looked so nice with the heart sprinkles! This made my day!
Felt heart wreath from Tarjay!
Last year's post:
Valentine's 2017
80's vibes here...
"Two Hearts Beat as One" - U2 (early U2 before they started to suck!)
I might still have a slight crush on the drummer, Larry Mullen, Jr.
"Melt with You" by Modern English
One of my all time favorites. Used recently in the first season of the Netflix series "Stranger Things", although the version they used was not the original, but a remix which was released after 1983, which is when the series is supposed to be set, so no points for accuracy there.
"Tenderness" by General Public
One of Bert's favorite songs....
"Space Age Love Song" by Flock of Seagulls
Another fave of mine...gotta love the dreamy synthesizers.
