and woke up to this...
which was a nice surprise! TC also gave me these Hello Kitty Jelly Beans - the flavors are strawberry, cherry, cotton candy, fruit punch, and so forth. Basically, all of the red and pink colors.
Candy that I bought for Bert and TC, which, dammit will be half off tomorrow. It was 30% off when I bought it a few days ago.
My Pez collection for February - Interspersed with the obvious conversation heart-shaped dispensers meant for Valentines are my other Pez dispensers with red or pink stems, such as Hamm from "Toy Story", Sanrio's My Melody, Ahsoka from the Star Wars Clone Wars series (2009), and Strawberry Shortcake from the eponymous cartoon series. Admittedly, I have NEVER watched nor will I ever watch the Strawberry Shortcake cartoon. Too girly.
Gene Simmons, bassist for KISS (a gift from D), Hello Kitty with red heart, the Valentine monkey and the Love Teddy Bear:
Piglet from "Winnie the Pooh", another Hello Kitty and one of the new Pez emojis (this is the Kissing one).
One of a few heart shaped items we had over the past few days. This was TC's donut from a hipster donut shop in Highland Park, Los Angeles (full post to follow). She loved it so much, she proclaimed it her most favorite donut EVER.
This other one isn't quite heart shaped, but it was pink and had a conversation heart on it. I guess that counts. This specimen was also chosen by TC courtesy of a new donut shop in Santee (post is forthcoming as well)...
Yesterday, Bert and I followed Kirbie and Mr. K's footsteps by visiting a fairly new coffee shop advertising their Valentine coffee special...
We also had a duo of Cortados with a pair of heart shaped cookies in Little Italy this morning...
I made damn sure to get that Weimeraner in there too.
Oh shit, they used real milk in there. Let's hope it doesn't do any damage, heh.
Lace heart doilies at farm stand/store in Corona...
We had a busy weekend so far. As mentioned earlier, full blown posts to follow.
The weather was quite nice this weekend but I hear it will cool down later this week. I've been enjoying wearing tank tops, shorts and flip flops but I suppose I'll have to bring back the boots and sweaters if need be. One more day of enjoyment before work begins again. Then the countdown to Spring Break begins (and it can't begin soon enough). Hope everyone had a nice Presidents' Day weekend (and Valentine's)!

I love your pez collection. Friend gave me a hello kitty one recently. I don't eat the candy but I just like the dispenser. That one hello kitty pez you have cracks me up - it looks like one ear is giving the finger. The heart donut with the chocolate covered strawberry looks amazing. The coffees you had (in real glasses) look beautiful. I also liked the Weimaraner little tail and butt in one of those pics :) Looks like you had a great Valentines weekend -
How sweet CC!
Thanks Faye! :) I don't eat the candy either. I have ziploc bags full of the candy. I should just throw it away. The heart donut was really good. You could see the strawberry seeds in the glaze. It was also very light and fluffy. Coffee in real glasses look so much better than an ugly paper cup. Hope you had a good weekend as well.
Dogs are so amusing. Even though we don't have pets, we enjoy seeing dogs whenever we are out and about.
Thanks Kirk! I hope you and your wife are enjoying your vacation abroad! :)
I used to watch Strawberry Shortcake when I was little and I remember I had a doll! I don't remember the show at all though but I know it was very girly-girl haha. I LOVE that heart shaped donut with the strawberry in it! It looks so decadent! Looks like you guys had a fun Valentine's weekend :D
It definitely was a fun weekend. The heart donut was beautiful but also tasted as good as it looked according to TC. She also liked th at the name was inspired by one of her favorite bads, The Story So Far. The shop is called Donut Friend and the full post will be up soon.
I wasn't into girly stuff as a girl or teen. I was more into rock and metal music.
