It's the return of Seafood Fridays. Today we were out of town in beautiful Pasadena.
This is a quick post (full fledged posts will follow in due time). This post will only have my food and not TC and Bert's.
We had lunch at a hole in the wall seafood joint next to a liquor store. This was just half of their menu. They serve Mexican, Meditteranean nd American food here.

My choice - the Grilled Bassa tacos with rice and salad (which I requested with dressing on the side). The condiments were salsa and salad dressed (a creamy dressing with dill). The rice was a mix of whit and saffron.

It was quite a lot of food. I could only manage about 2 tacos and even then, I didn't eat all of the tortillas, but picked at the meat. For $6.45 this was a filling meal at a good price.
For dinner. we chose this place since it was just down the street from our hotel...

This was Panko Fried Sand Dabs (a type of flat fish); my sides were garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables in a nod for getting something healthy. The sauce was tartar. This was a lot of fish! We actually shared this plate and planned to have the leftovers for breakfast tomorrow.

I never had sand dabs before and was excited to see it on the menu. The coating was nicely seasoned and crisp. I'm glad that we tried this place out. Cameron's was quite popular and was getting filled up by the time we left.
As mentioned earlier, full posts to follow once I get all of my thoughts and photos organized...
