their roasting facilities in Bay Park finally opened to the public (limited hours) about three months ago...
It's on Morena Blvd in a kind of blah light brown building that says, "Bretow Chiropractic Center". Fear not. You are in the right place.
You can park on the street like we did, or in the lot behind this (which has tons more space).
Their menu is the same as the one at their Little Italy location. Funnily enough, Bert and I ordered pretty much the same thing here as we did previously in Little Italy. It's quite large in here since it's their roasting facility (it smells so good in here by the way) but seats are limited. All around the shop are placards and posters detailing the origins of their coffees and their flavor profiles. Very educational.
Berrt's dark chocolate mocha and my cortado plus a chocolate chip biscotti (this was such the perfect little bite to go with our coffees).
Our drinks were well made and very rich tasting. I really enjoyed Bert's dark chocolate mocha. As for my cortado, it was so very smooth and did not even need additional sugar (it really shouldn't have to). A cortado is one of the few espresso based drinks I'll have with real milk in it since the ratio is pretty small to begin with. I couldn't handle a latte with all that milk (in small doses maybe but anything more than 4 oz is overkill for me).

Next time we'll have to try that salted caramel drink. I just wish it wasn't a latte (not a milk fan). The guys working here are so very nice and chill as well. No pretentious attitudes here. I hope they do well at this location.
