Time Travel Mart

A few doors away from Woodcat Coffee Bar

is a store that called itself the Time Travel Mart...

It sounded quirky enough...

and it looked a bit retro as well...

The store was interesting and kind of random. I'm sure there's something for everyone in here. It was a mix of joke items and educational. All purchases help raise money for 836LA, a non profit writing and tutoring center for kids.  So yes, it's a good cause.

Holy cow, a young Brooke Shields and a Pacman poster.

As seen on the street outside the store. Okayyyyy....

Would I go here again? Sorry, but no.   It was so contrived and most of their stuff was overpriced.  I know, I know. Bah Humbug. How could you say that. It helps kids. I know.  But to each their own. TC told me she was irritated by this brat kid who basically whined and wheedled his mother to buy him this giant ostrich egg because it was labeled a 'dinosaur egg'. Sadly, she gave in and bought him the egg. Wah wah wah.

Who else went to Time Travel Mart?
Josh from California Through My Lens went here November 2015.

Enough of this. On to the coffee next door!

I read Josh's post, too, and I think I'd get a kick out of this store. Not sure I'd buy anything but the store seems like my kind of weird. :D

The store is worth at least one visit but I guess I wasn't feeling it that day over there.
