We saw lots of beautiful architecture such as this old movie theater that was converted to a church...
Below was another vintage theater...

This particular bookstore was on our list of "must see" things in L.A. and I was determined that we should see it before the end of our trip...
Street parking sucks, as always, but we were able to find parking for $5 at a nearby parking garage which was just a short distance away from our destination. The area we were in was considered a historic part of South Spring Street (the plaque honored a couple of architects)...

Right next to the bookstore, which wasn't quite open yet, we saw a Farmer's Market in full swing...

Our walk through was more of a 'look see' since we'd already eaten at Porto's earlier that morning.

So much beautiful produce...

The Spring Street Farmer's Market was sandwiched between the Last Bookstore and the Alexandria Hotel. There were so many good food vendors, but sadly, we had to forgo their offerings....

Heh heh, Ruben's Nuts....

Bert sampled something sweet from one of the vendors. I so wanted to try some, but was stuffed from earlier.
More farm fresh vegetables...

There were lots of nice folks working the booths.
Here are is an article I found about this particular Farmer's Market which debuted in 2012:
LA Downtown News
After what seemed like hours but was, in reality, only fifteen minutes, the Last Bookstore, finally opened their grand doors to usher us within...
