and see a sunset for Christmas Eve...

in good ole IB which was only 20 minutes away...
This was around 430'ish as we walked on the IB Pier...

You could see the Coronado Islands in the near distance (with the one we call "Mummy Island" farther back)...

The San Diego skyline and the Coronado Bridge could be seen on the northern side of the pier...

A few surfers were out in the ocean but the waves were flat...

The sky was just gorgeous...

The last rays of the setting sun glinted off the beachfront homes' windows...

A lone seagull happened to be in the frame...

as the sun made it's way down...

A very beautiful end of the day...

Even the lifeguard building was decorated and there was a lit up tree in the nearby park..

I'm glad that we took the time to see a San Diego sunset.

Sometimes life gets so busy that we don't take the time to appreciate what surrounds us. We should all stop to enjoy nature once in a while.

Merry Christmas to you and the family CC!
I enjoyed our outing yesterday. We'll do it again sometime.
Thanks Kirk! Same to you, your wife, and "Da Boyz"! :)
Bert - yes, let's see another one of those at a different locale! :)
Beautiful shots! We've had some gorgeous sunsets this winter.
Thanks Mary! What a "harsh" winter we've been having, heh heh.
