Everyone and their mother was there that day which is typical on weekends, especially after church. No recent Lotto winners though...
As we headed west on Orange (before hitting Seafood City), we saw this taco truck on the corner of H and Orange in the parking lot of Hilltop Market.

Must check it out next time! Not in the mood for tacos that day!

TC holding a dragon fruit and a humongous avocado (not of the Haas variety). We ended up buying one ($2.79 each!). The skin is not black and bumpy like the Haas but thin and green. That avocado is bigger than a baby's head! It's still ripening on our counter top.

Hee hee, balls...

This looks like a new product. Philippine Brand also makes their famous dried mangos (which can be bought at Costco in huge bags).

All four kinds of the Nagaraya nuts. Bert's fave is the Adobo. I like the garlic (in green package). TC was holding the yellow one and I the orange.

From the fresh food counter, we picked up a grilled squid. It smelled so good! We had it for lunch when we got home.

Yummy tentacles...

Even though it's farther than I'd like to drive (as compared to the now defunct Chula Vista location of North Park Produce), I'd rather go there to buy my fresh vegetables than Ralph's or Vons or whatever since they have the Filipino vegetables that I like. Next time, we're going to try that taco truck!

Heehee, balls. That avocado looks like an overgrown bacon avocado. I just picked up a few from the local farmer's market and they're big but not as big as that one! (that's what she said)
hi c - thanks. i'll have to look up that variety. i didn't really like that avocado. i don't know the variety but it's not as tasty as a hass or even a fuerte. it doesn't seem to have a lot of "oil" or fat in it. tastes more like a raw bitter vegetable than a smooth, creamy avocado.
"not as big as that one"! ha ha!
