Since we were in the area, we went here...
Oh yeah, Porto's once again!
Perhaps you are thinking, "Good Gawd, how can these chicks pack it in?" Well, we made sure to make room at every place but really, this was just to stop and order some of their famous potato balls...
If we didn't have such a long drive back to SD, I would have wanted to take home one of these. Sigh.
We each got a dozen of the Potato Ballz! Lying on top is a lone circular meat pie (nice and flaky and delicious!).

D's empanada - the crust was so flaky. Loved it!
We ordered a Pan de Lechon to go. I had a few bites and saved the rest for Bert...That was D's iced coffee in the background. We liked the thinly shaved plantain chips...
In addition to the potato ballz, we also got a dozen of the cream cheese rolls!
These are incredibly melt in your mouth amazing!
Ha ha, as I was looking at my Garmin, I noticed there was a park named after Dennis the Menace!
We didn't stick around Burbank that long. After our brief rest stop at Porto's, we headed back down to Irvine again!
Up next, dinner...

I love Porto's. Have u visited the location in Downey? Slightly closer and it has a parking lot which is nice.
hi kirbie - actually not yet but we hope to definitely visit the downey location. i heard it's much bigger than the glendale and burbank locations. and yes, the parking lot is a major plus.
