Johnny Rockets - Burbank

Not feeling too adventurous, we decided to use this coupon at the nearbyJohnny Rockets by the big AMC in Burbank.

Even though I have the San Diego coupon book, a few of the coupons had other non-San Diego locations...

I'd never been to Johnny Rockets before but figured it would be your basic American diner food, you knows, burgers and fries and such.

It was warm out that night so we sat outside, smack dab in front of the AMC.

On the outside looking in...

Hmmm...

We used the buy one/get one for burgers which came with a choice of either fries or a side salad. Bert and TC shared a root beer float (which tasted really weak). That was way too much dressing in that boat by the way and cheese on salad? Ugh.

Bert wanted a Philly cheesesteak but was told after he placed his order that they were out of beef for the cheesesteaks so could they substitute it with chicken instead? Blasphemy but he still liked it. It wasn't as good as a beef Philly. He said the jack cheese (wut, no provolone or cheese whiz?) made it more palatable helped it along.

TC and I shared a cheeseburger since we weren't too hungry from earlier. It was all right but not like In-n-Out!

The burger was meh.

It was a pretty long day and we weren't too sure if we were going to stick around in L.A. much the next day which turned out to be kind of dramatic due to the crazy freeway shooter...
