TC carved her own (Boo in the monster suit), while Bert did my True Blood and his favorite Avenger, the Vision...
Poking holes on the template. This makes it easier to carve the lines...

Pre-carving...

Done.

Lit up...

The original drawing for the Vision was a full length body shot complete with flowing cape and a big black circle behind him. Well, the design was a bit too large and tall for the smaller sized pumpkins we had so Bert resized it and only did the top half (sans circle). He worked really hard on this one. One of his fears is that the thinner pieces wouldn't hold up through the night. If it breaks apart, we'll just have to fix it with toothpicks or something.

Hey now....

Nice!

Here's all our three...TC had to "modify" the body of Boo because a piece broke off but I still think it looks pretty good!

TC made the fourth pumpkin; Bert allowed her to drill holes in it. I think she wants to put in a strobe light.

These bad boys will be on our porch this year...
Pumpkins of the Halloween past:
2010 (Eric Northman, howling wolves, and a spider)
2009 (Dancing ghosts, haunted house on hill and a spider in it's web)
Until next year's designs!

Awesome pumpkins! I didn't do one this year, time ran away from me. Love the True Blood one!
Thanks! It's all Bert and TC! I love the True Blood one as well! :)
Nice looking pumpkins!
These are awesome! The Vision turned out awesome! (The Mister just whined, "we didn't get a pumpkin this year.") Aw, now I feel bad.
hi darlene - thanks to bert!
c - i'll let bert know! he worked hard on the vision!
Wow, your pumpkins came out so nice. I just sent the link to FH so he can carve us some next year.
thanks kirbie - bert wants a chisel now so he can do designs where he doesn't have to cut all the way through.
Your pumpkins turned out great! The holes one is cute! I was really rushed with our pumpkins this year, so I'll have to plan ahead next year.
