For those of you that have digital cable with extended channels, you probably know that you can get channels with various genres of music...you can even get radio stations (but radio sux anyways).
Well, my favorite is ARENA ROCK (which is written in Iron Maiden letters). It's my favorite dinner music and I am not kidding you. My 6 year old knows who Ronnie James Dio is (she finds it funny when she flashes the "evil eye" sign at me). I sit with my back to the TV. Our game is for me to correctly name the band, song and album and if I'm pretty good, the year. The only ones I can't get are the hair bands from the late 80's and early 90's. I'm usually (but now always) accurate with the early and mid 80' stuff. Aldo Nova or Asia anyone? How about Ozzy Osbourne and early Van Halen?
Holy Diver!!!!

Yeah, we also have that extension of cable too and must say they play better music than the radio stations in my car. Only thing is that I can't just sit in front of a TV and listen to music, I feel a TV is more for watching shows and movies than listening to music. Of course, if you’re doing housework, it makes the time fly by faster. I still every once in a while enjoy listening to the radio in my car though; it’s my only way of knowing when new songs come out.
we hardly ever watch the tv on when eating dinner, but the music channel is okay. we just don't watch it - it's background music. it would be better if those music channels had videos to accompany the songs.
since my back is turned on the tv, i'm not really watching it.
i haven't really watched tv in a long time - i am too tired at night so sometimes, if i do watch tv, i channel surf.
