Happy 4th of July!!! We had dinner at Lotus and Shogun's place. For this special occasion, I made lumpia a few nights ago with the stipulation that Lotus would fry up these babies. These are ground beef with onions, water chestnuts, grated carrot, green onion, and seasoned with soy sauce and black pepper. It was fun making them because TC got to use a pastry brush to "paint" the ends and then roll the last bit up.
Hot dogs were also on the menu:
These eggplants were grilled by Mulsa, which were later sliced thin and seasoned with a Korean sauce.

Aahhh...fried lumpia! Lotus threw in a few fried potstickers too.
Lotus is the hostess with the mostess! She made homemade mango granita with grated lime. This was really light and refreshing:
She also made homemade (that goes for the crust too!) lemon tart with fresh blueberries:
