Valentine's Day 2019

Picked these up a few days prior...

The new ladybug and the Happy Heart crystal Pez...

There was another crystal pez with a different facial expression - the heart face is sticking it's tongue out. That was only sold as a duo and for the life of me, I could not find it dammit.

February is half way done!

February page of my Tokidoki 2019 calendar...

I won't do a full blown PEZ photo shoot. Here's just a few that I have on display in my office at work. I decorated with a combination of those Dollar Store holiday solar toys and a mix of Valentine's and Pink/Purple Pez.  Seen below: Cupid (this is an older one; most of the newer solar toys have the panel in the back so it is hidden), Ariel (newer version) and Shimmer (from the duo "Shimmer and Shine" and a Pez heart with a decorated stem.  One thing I'm not fond of about the Valentine heart Pez stems is that they are not footed.

Below: Devil solar toy, Hello Kitty Pez (with a tiny bunny on her head) and a Valentine's beanie baby bear (it's cut off, but it says '2008' on it's left foot); that was a thrift store find.

The new Ladybug, another Devil solar toy (he is new; just got him this year) and the Pink Power Ranger.

There's more but I wanted to highlight just a few.

The Navy recruiter for our school brought us some donuts from Krispy Creme. Three boxes - one dozen plain glazed, one dozen of these message hearts (jelly filled!) and one dozen Valentine sprinkles.

Who says "All the Feels"? I guess I'm old, I don't use that lingo, ha ha.

I got this one because it was purple! Jelly inside was raspberry.

These sprinkled ones are so cute!

For dinner, Bert boiled a few containers of these (bought over the weekend  along with the bagged sala so we wouldn't have to worry about last minute crap). He also made the sauce, following my directions (I wasn't home while he was making dinner; it was ready by the time I got home from the gym)...The lemon sauce is easy. It's the zest and juice of two Meyer lemons whisked with 1/3 cup of olive oil (use the good kind) and 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Easy.

He finally used the BevMo giftcards we won last summer at one of TC's scholarship functions.

None of this going out to dinner business and getting charged up the %$#@ either, ha ha.  God, I'm so romantic, har har.  But really, staying at home is so much more appealing to me nowadays. Valentine's was a Thursday, a work night, and I didn't want to be out and be near people either. Lovely.

Haha we did a meal at home and then went out to eat another day. My post about it is slightly cheesy. I remember seeing these pics on social media. Lobster ravioli yum!

I liked the shirt that your husband wore! :) Your Valentine's post was really cute. I didn't post any Valentine's specific on IG. I have to say that the lobster ravioli was really good. None of the pieces broke either. Usually a few pieces break and the filling spills out in the water, making it murky.
