only to head out again (via car this time) to the Inner Sunset...
I felt like I needed another coffee later that day (hey, while on vacation, there are no rules, right?) and since Andytown has a pop up within the surf/skate shop, San Franpsycho, well...we were there.

(9th & Irving, Inner Sunset, SF)
San Franpsycho used to be located on Noriega St., next to Devil's Teeth. The 9th St. location has been here for several years already and benefits from being near the busy 9th and Irving Street corner.

In addition to Andytown Coffee, they also serve Revenge Pies and Three Twins Ice cream, a company which is the first organic ice cream shop in the U.S. It's named "Three Twins" after the founder and his brother, who are twins, as well as the brother's wife, who is a twin. Very clever. TC got a scoop before we left.
I just wanted an espresso con panna. The lady working there didn't know what that was, WTF. But she was pretty chill about it and made me my drink. The whip was not housemade though but guess what, my drink ended up being FREE, so score. This was a pleasant and unexpected surprise!

When I looked up Revenge Pies website, they tout themselves as "Home of the F--k You Pie" (here's the link to the story behind that).

Those pies sure looked good though! But even I have my limits. My off switch to sweets was activated after today's shenanigans.
While I was enjoying my espresso, Bert was trying on a shirt he saw on clearance. He ended up buying it. It was one of the loudest shirts I'd ever seen but the clash of patterns and colors actually worked. You'll see it at the end of this post.
On the surfboard shaped display, a few shirts caught my eye. One was the very apt and timely, "Build Bridges Not Walls" (so true)...and the other...can you guess?

Oh yes...Jeff Spicoli.

The shirt was a color I normally don't wear (light blue), had a crew neck (which I could alter with a pair of scissors) and 80's geometric designs with Jeff Spicoli over a map of California.
Here's a classic clip of OSCAR WINNER Sean Penn as perpetually stoned surfer, Jeff Spicoli the the 80's classic, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". This happens to be a dream sequence where he is being "interviewed" by sports newscaster Stu Nahan.
Yes I know it's not PC but...
Coffee tastes better when it's free, ha ha.

Fake whipped cream was not that great but I ended up mixing it up in the cup to cool down the espresso. The girl working the counter asked if it was okay, which it was. I thought it as nice of her to not charge for it. She said she was still learning.
Oh I guess TC did get ice cream after all. As to what flavor it was, it was either lemon or vanilla.

I ended up getting the Spicoli shirt. How could I not? I texted a photo of the shirt to my cousin and she freaked out over it. She probably ended up getting one for herself too. She already has a shirt with a different Spicoli design on it, ha ha.
Now THIS bag is totally me.

Tempted I was, but no...
Loved the signage of this shop and its front window...

Corner of 9th and Irving. There are so many shops and eateries on this stretch of the Inner Sunset.

Back at the Motel, we got our dinner ready to eat for afterwards. TC wanted to catch the sunset at their Ocean Beach.

I wonder what this will all look like when finished.

As for those shirts from San Franpsycho...
Here is Bert's, which previously made an appearance for our 22nd Anniversary Highlights post. I do like this!

He wore this to the fair and got a few compliments.
My Spicoli shirt...which I still haven't cut the neck into a V yet. I'm afraid to mess up.

"Hey bud, let's party..."

We ended up going back to Sweet Passion Bakery to pick up some breads for later that evening and for breakfast (they are the last five photos in the Sweet Passion Bakery post). Dinner ended up being the corned beef pastie, the Chinese hot dog bun along with edamame beans and salad from Trader Joe's). It was time to catch a sunset!
