We took the desserts to go, intending to sneak it into the theatre (which we totally did). Look, a gorgeoso blingy chandelier.
TORC picked out our desserts (my early bday present) while I waited here surreptitiously snapping these shots.
Lovely chrysanthemum which goes nicely with my Tokidoki Concerto Punk Grazioso messenger bag (design is from Fall 2008).
This was my dessert - a dark chocolate torte topped with walnuts and chocolate sauce and powered sugar. It was super sweet. I only managed a few bites of this in the theatre.
TORC originally wanted the creme brulee, but it wasn't doable for "togo" because you can't very well scoop it out and put it in another container. She ended up getting this other dessert which was a flourless chocolate cake filled with chocolate pudding...
Both desserts were fab but would have looked a lot nicer on actual plates instead of these take out containers. Of course, we can't take out real plates! Anyhoo, I'll be posting my mini review of the Runaways in the next few days. I still have a backlog of posts that I want to crank out.
Just a few more weeks until vacation and then we're off to YYZ!
Pause....
*Pop culture reference guide for the non rock snobs:
YYZ is the international airport code for Toronto Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada.
Lastly, YYZ was also a featured song in the video game, "Guitar Hero 2""!

I haven't been here, but I've been wanting to try it. I want your tokidoki bag collection!
hi kirbie - give it a try. i wasn't keen on their food the first time i went.
i've been lucky getting my toki bags on major sale a few years ago. otherwise, paying full price would break the bank!
the new tokidoki collab w/marvel comics is pretty cool too.
Just saw this and was curious-just yesterday met a person who works here. Maybe will be trying an item someday soon.
hi cathy - i think their desserts are too expensive ($7.95). they're not even made in house. gelato here is good though.
