It's been a good two or three years since I've worn my house robes...
complete with school tie and Snape wand. No other Slytherins except me, ha ha.
Bert and TC wanted to resurrect their pumpkin carving tools and literally just bought their pumpkins two days before Halloween. They decided on their designs that same day and started carving. This was TC's printout of what she wanted to do. Can you guess who this is?

We don't do normal cute shit here.
Her pumpkin is Johnny Depp as Sweeny Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street from the movie of the same name, directed by the one and only Tim Burton. Not shown is the blood drop dripping from the tip of the blade.
She hand drew here pumpkin instead of taping the paper on top and punching holes to outline it. The carving itself took more than three hours. She finished off the last details the next day so it would be ready for Halloween.

She said it didn't turn out exactly the way she wanted, but I still think it's pretty good.

Not bad...

Bert, once again, went with a Marvel Character. Here is Daredevil taped on his pumpkin. He used his tools to poke sharp holes for the outline and to make carving it easier.

Here he is lit up...

Bert thought he should have done the negative image, but I think he came out nicely.
The last appearance of carved pumpkins were back in 2013
Check it out here (Voldemort, Luke Cage and Jack Skellington). That posts also links the previous years which included Thanos, Chewbacca, and the Vision to name a few.
One of these days, I may have to make an attempt to carve one of these, ha ha.

Both pumpkins look amazing. It's incredible how much they change with candle and the darkness. I can't believe it took her 3 hrs to carve (and draw free hand!).
Thank you Faye. I know I wouldn't have the patience to even do a simple design, seriously. She drew directly on the pumpkin because she didn't want to prick hundreds of holes on the template.
