I had the pleasure of meeting with my friend The Prof earlier today...

I chose this stripmall quite strategically....

Anikin's Fruit & Deli, Golden Hill + Golden Hill Park

TC is learning how to drive and at the time of this visit, hadn't completely finished her six hours of on the road instruction...

That didn't deter us from having her drive from a nearby coffee shop in North Park to Golden Hill...

Sadly, there was no parking in this lot with new (to me) solar panels...

Eggplant and Zucchini Casserole

Earlier today, I got some vegetables on clearance from Fresh & Easy...

No, they weren't rotten or going bad. Three zucchini were .98 on sale! The tomatoes were .60 (in a plastic container), a medium eggplant was .34! Plus, I got some homegrown herbs from Cathy of Mmm-Yoso fame...

It was time to try a new recipe...

These were unusual flavored sodas I bought from the new Bev Mo last month - Pineapple Coconut Nutmeg (not a fan, I was), and a really intense blueberry soda.

I would have liked the fruit soda better without that nutmeg taste in my mouth...Ugh!
