Friendsgiving + Thanksgiving 2017

Last year I wrote, "One of these days...

(not my wreath but my brother's)
I'll make a turkey!"

This happened to be THAT year...

Thanksgiving 2016

One of these days, I'll actually make a turkey...

(stuffing, jicama pineapple slaw, cranberry sauce, sauteed corn with bacon, gravy, baked mussels and pancit palabok)

but until then...my parents' version is just so much better than mine ever could be...

It was so nice getting this card in the mail earlier this week...

I have such a thoughtful hairstylist who is "old school" in that she loves to send cards for all of the major holidays. I like that and who doesn't love getting something nice in the mail?
