Return to Pop Pie

Friday night...

and we were out and about...

TC is a young adult now and was out with her friends for an early Halloween party.  Last night's excursion was a first time visit for Bert but a revisit for me. Plus there was another reason for the visit but that will be a separate post.

We lucked out by finding a parking spot across the street. It also helped going early as in pre-6:00 pm.  No crazy lines during the evening of our visit.

We each got a savory item plus the creamed corn side to share.

Steak and ale for him and the English sausage roll for me (smaller and less expensive plus I wanted to save some room for dessert):

Flaky crust. Liked the addition of the sesame seeds. Pork sausage within was flavorful and juicy.

The steak and ale was quite hearty. Lots of meaty chunks in there with a nice gravy.

No leftovers, ha ha.

Not shown were the mustard packets given to be eaten with the sausage roll. I passed on that, but Bert enjoyed his bites of my entree with the mustard.

Previous visit to Pop Pie
October 2016 during their soft opening two years ago

Next door was a newly opened ice cream place which of course we had to visit...
