Point Loma two-fer: Supannee & Better Buzz with the sis

Like me, my sister was also on vacation from work...

The mural above with the initials SAN (which is the San Diego airport code) at the San Diego Airport commuter terminal which sadly, replaced the iconic Charles Lindbergh mural in 2014 (officially titled, "Lucky Spirit").

If you ask me, I prefer the older mural since Lindbergh's plane  for his famous transatlantic flight was built in San Diego. The new mural is so busy looking and it's kind of hard to make out the letters.  The new mural was not painted but were made from digital files printed on vinyl.

Sis and nephew #2 joined TC and I for lunch earlier today in Point Loma. We took the "long way" (via Harbor) to get to Point Loma not realizing we would hit airport traffic...

Farmer's Bottega

It's been awhile since we had a "date" afternoon...

TC was hanging out with friends so we took advantage to try out the relatively new (seven months new) Farmer's Bottega over in Mission Hills...

My god friend KD recently ate her and liked it so we wanted to give it a try...

KD's birthday lunch @ Supannee House of Thai

Although KD's real birthday was in early January, we, the Educator GF's (TORC, myself and D) celebrated it last weekend...

They were gracious enough to let me choose the venues (plural) for this birthday food crawl...

True Food Kitchen

This past weekend, 1/2 of the Educator GF's were on hand to celebrate KD's birthday at a venue of her choice (D was missing that day). In this case, it was a restaurant at the Fashion Valley Mall...

It used to be some restaurant with "Bing Crosby" in the name, then it became "Crocodile Cafe" (or something of that nature), and then something else.

Well, it is now True Food Kitchen and it's right near the restaurant I love to hate, the Cheesecake Factory and a store that we will never shop at, Bloomies (haha)....
