and while out doing errands, stopped at a relatively new coffee cart in City Heights...
It's in the parking lot of El Paisano, where I parked. The owner is Monetta, a former photo retoucher. She is so very nice and welcoming. This was a dream of hers to open up her own coffee cart. She lives in the neighborhood and thought this would be a good time and place as any to set up her cart.

There's some bar stool seating by the side as well as bench seating on the other side, complete with table (both made from reclaimed wood).

Her menu is short and simple, which is how it should be. No real glassware here, but it's understandable since this is a coffee cart.

My first visit, I had her cortado. Beans were from Cafe Moto (always a good choice for a local roaster). My drink was pretty good. No sugar or extra cream needed. Just the right pick me up for that morning of solo errands.

On a more recent outing, my neighbor (MN) and I were out and about. We had coffee earlier at City Heights Coffee House (that post is forthcoming) and I wanted to take her here for another caffeine fix.

There was an upcoming event that weekend. The last time I visited, Monetta told me about the Avenue Mural Project, along University Ave. Because of her recommendation, I drove down the avenue specifically looking for murals to document. This weekend, there would be a walk complete with a map of the different murals.

This time, I didn't have coffee. MN had a chai latte while I had the Ginger lemongrass Italian soda. This was quite refreshing as the morning was beginning to heat up.

Both drinks were pretty good. If I go here again, I want to bring my own glassware.
I couldn't find any articles on this place. Glad I stopped by though!

Wondering when MaryJhun will paint on her awnings. The owner mentioned that she had to clean off the bird "stuff" so she could have a clean surface to paint on. I'm sure it will look cool once it's done. Too bad she's not open on weekends but I really hope her little coffee cart does well. I admire that she is following her dream of owning and running this cart. Many people I've seen passing by while relaxing here were so friendly...
