Even though it wasn't that late, we were tired after having explored the Armstrong Redwoods followed by the Guerneville Bank Club for snacks...

Our  lodging for the night was in the seaside town of Jenner..

With salt water taffy from Patrick's giving us a sugar boost, we headed off to our next destination...

Patrick's of Bodega Bay

Westward about five miles was the town of Bodega Bay...

This was where Hitchcock filmed the scene where Tippy Hedren's character gets attacked by a seagull and she goes into The Tides restaurant (which is still there but looks completely different than it did decades ago in the movie)...It is a small town by the water.

TC's wish list included a candy store (it usually does whenever we travel) and Bodega Bay was no exception..

As we left Point Reyes Lighthouse, we made our way back past the cattle and dairy farms of the West Marin-Point Reyes National Seashore...

where TC marveled at the tiny pens for baby cows...

Their full size brethren are the same cows that produce the milk, butter, cream, and ice cream that many of us enjoy (well, those that are not lactose intolerant)...

It truly did take us almost two hours to get from Point A (El Cerrito) to Point B (Inverness)...

We drove on a few twisty roads followed by lonely roads such as this passing through dairy farms (Strauss Creamery was one!) complete with grazing cows...

With coffee from Well Grounded in our system, we set the gps for our next stop which was a one and a half hour drive to the other side of bay. On the map, El Cerrito and Point Reyes looks pretty close by but in reality, it was a LONG ASS DRIVE! Our first task was getting through this...getting on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge...

which we drove on back in Summer 2011 to check out the Marine Mammal Center (Free!)...

Luckily, we have a transponder (since we use the 125) and guess what people, it works for all bridges in California. So we passed up all of these poor bastards and zipped through more easily than most, heh heh...
