I was out solo this particular morning.

A new park had opened up in the South Bay the previous week and I had to check it out...

Wild Willow Farm

Last month we accompanied TC to a volunteer opportunity...

It was in the South Bay...

at Wild Willow Farms, which is a small farm near the larger Suzie's Farm. We were interested in this particular opportunity because it involved cooking...

On the way home from an outing with TC, we took the long way home to get away from traffic.

From the 5, I took the Main Street exit so I could get on National City Blvd where we passed by the iconic Palm Reader sign (in the 70's and 80's the sign had an eyeball on it instead of a planet)...

South Cali Steak Burger Bar

A few days ago TC and I were down in south CV which gave us an opportunity to finally go here...

The South Cali Steak Burger Bar on the southwest corner of Third and Montgomery. Back in the odle days, this used to be a mariscos place for the longest time...

Stop 6 - Seafood City, the Last Stop

Our last stop was going to be here, one of my favorite markets, Seafood City.

Stop 5 - Oasis Ice Cream Parlor

In keeping the crawl "local", dessert was here, Oasis Ice Cream Parlor, a South Bay mainstay for over 30 years..

The flavors are not like any other you'll see at other mainstream places...

Stop 3 - La Palapa Nayarit

If you head west from the Mariscos Isaac taco truck, you will pass by and feel the soothing and refreshing water droplets sprayed from the $3 car wash place...

on your right will be this tiny corner eatery...

Stop 2 - Mariscos Isaac taco truck (new location)

We headed north on Coronado and hung a right on 18th. If you are taking the 5 South, you can make a right on Palm and a left on 18th. Just look for the Bobar 2 Liquor sign...

You're welcome...Yes, this is the newest location of the Mariscos Isaac taco truck which used to be located at the South Bay Lounge parking lot a few blocks west...

This is another place that I pass by every weekend and I thought it would be fun to give it a try with the group...
