After our brief foray into Brookings, Oregon, we made our way back down to our last city in Northern California...

One more night then we'd head back down.

Before checking into our motel, we drove into the Crescent City Citizens Dock...

We were up for some dessert after our fried clam meal...

Brookings was only a few miles after we passed the border sign.

The Port of Brookings Harbor was our destination with at least two places we wanted to try...

This was the first and we couldn't pass up a place named The Hungry Clam...

After the fun tackiness that was the Trees of Mystery...

we drove onwards to Oregon...

you just have to go see the Trees of Mystery...

After the awesomeness of seeing a massive totem pole in a supermarket parkinglot and deerheads in a barbershop, we headed northward to our next stop...

which was the cute seaside town of Trinidad.

Above is a memorial lighthouse (the real lighthouse was a few minutes away). We were here for lunch actually...

and also to enjoy the views...

World's Tallest? The McKinleyville Totem Pole

You saw a glimpse of this in my previous post...

It's not often that you see a super tall totem pole in the parking lot of a Safeway, eh...

But that is precisely why we were here...
