After Baltimore Snowball, we killed some time by going to North County Fair (I know it's a Westfield mall now but I'm calling it by it's old name #$%@!)...Now that was a mall I hadn't been to in decades! Like waaaaay back in college!

Traffic wasn't so bad going back to Escondido where we planned to have dinner...

Peterson's Donut Corner

This past weekend, I thought it was about time to finally visit the famed Peterson's Donut Corner in Escondido...

Even though it's out of the way for us, we made use of our time up there by going to several other places with Peterson's being the first stop...

Yes, it's literally on the corner of 9th and S. Escondido Blvd.  It's open 24/7 and has a large selection of goodies...I'm sure they get their fair share of characters at 2 am...

California Center for the Arts - "Art Illustrated: Celebrating Comic Arts" exhibit

Our next stop was the California Center for the Arts...

which is a huge complex designed to showcase dance, art, and music as well as offer cultural enrichment through museums and various educational programs...

The exhibit we wanted to see precedes Comic Con by about a month or so. I'm a sucker for these kinds of exhibits so off we went to learn more about Comic Art...

What we liked about downtown Escondido was the free parking!

Well, up to two hours at least, but hey, at least we didn't have to fiddle with any change for meters...

Although we were set to go straight to the California Center for the Arts after our breakfast at Belen, I saw another place on our Garmin that ended up being our next stop...
