Portland posts forthcoming

[Note - Although our Portland trip was over two months ago, I do plan on posting Days 4, 5 & 6 once I'm on vacation, which will be at the end of this week! Lots of upcoming posts such as Lei Lounge, my actual "Little Ashes" review", and more! Here are a few "Twilight-related" teaser pics from our trip]

Look familiar?
That was the beautiful Columbia River Gorge as seen from the Crown Point Vista House (see octagonal building below). There is a similar shot in the movie trailer for "Twilight" but it was from a slightly different angle, and there were clouds rolling in instead of sun. It was such a gorgeous day when we were there, but it was fkn windy like an MF! Our faces were practically frozen by the winds...The views from up here are amazing... Just around the corner from Vista House was this place...
Yes, the same place where they shot the prom scene! They even had one of the movie props still left on the lawn...
View from the front...
One of the workers told us we could go upstairs and look at their rooms. There are about 4 or five different rooms you could actually stay in at the View Point Inn. They are decorated with antiques and the decorations are really lovely (but not my style). Supposedly Teddy Roosevelt stayed in one of the rooms and another room is purported to be haunted! WTF! Here is the view from the MIDDLE WINDOW! Mmm hmmm...the same window that Victoria was looking out of when she was watching Bella and Edward dance in the twinkly gazebo (quick! cue Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth", then cut to Radiohead's "15 Step!)
View of the front lawn (missing all the prom lanterns, lights and gazebo)...
It was really cool just being in a different city! I'll be posting more of our Portland trip once I'm done with work. Stuff like - Floating World Comics, the Kidd Toy Museum, the religiously creepy Grotto, cool ass art all over the city, waterfalls, food (how could I not include food?) and so on...
Four more days, then I'm off for one month!

OMG!!! This post is sooooooooooo cool!! I mean, even if for just the Twilight filming site factor! Ummmkay. I sounded like a 14 yr old girl, didn't I? I had goosebumps when you said that was the window that Victoria was watching Bella and Edward from!

How cool is that? I'm so jealous that you went on a Twilight road trip without me! LOL!
