Yee-Haw!

Hold on to yer hats, Texas, here I come!

Two of my co-workers and I will be attending an educational conference at Rice University in good ole Houston! We leave Thursday and return Sunday.

Maybe we can check this out: The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! We can hear my favorite music, Country!!!! Not!

If we were there on March 18th, we would be able to see and hear one rock band, ZZ Top! At least their guitarist, Billy Gibbons kicks ass! Or the everpopular-with-the-rodeo-audience, Beyonce on March 15! (stifled laughter, snort snort).

In any case, I've already scoped out the restaurant scene and there are a few places I want to check out. I hope my co-workers are up for Thai and Vietnamese food. There are also some French and Spanish places we want to try and of course, Tex-Mex and RIBS!!! Can't wait!!!

*the LOVELY photo is from a search on Cowboy Hat images...It's a black cowboy hat from "Inspiration Costume Hire". You, too, can buy this hat for $10! Freaky ain't it? (the mannequin head not the hat!)

Well now, that could an interesting look if I decide to grow out my facial hair again. Wait, no I can't do it because I have "hair gaps" on the sides of my mouth. Darn!

My only multi-day trip to Houston was a bit on the ho-hum side save for the wedding. i was surprised to see it more diverse than i expected though.
