As you turn the corner...you go up a really steep driveway. Hopefully no one is coming in from the other way. There's only room for one car lane!

Bert had his eye on the window special while I admired the fonts...

The sign outside...

I placed our orders while TC grabbed a table. It's not that big in here - seats maybe 20 - 25 people...but it's low key and casual.

More specials:

Their menu:

and here's the other side:

I got the #3 combo for TC - 2 Cheese Enchiladas with rice and beans ($6.50)...with the ulterior motive of "helping" her finish since we knew she couldn't eat all that. I'm not too big on enchiladas, but she seemed to like it a lot.

I also ordered a small jamaica (hibiscus flower) drink. You can also see my small plate of sliced radishes with one lime...

Bert got the Barbacoa tacos special ($5.35).He was expecting the meat to be spicy, like the kind we had at El Ranchero last week. These were kind of mild but man, the chunks of meat were really nice and buttery soft!

Here it is with sauce...

Since I knew I was going to be having some of TC's beans and rice, I just had two Potato tacos ($1.85 each). There are mashed potatoes that are deep fried in a corn tortilla shells and filled with cheese, thinly sliced lettuce and topped with more cheese. Now, I've had the potato tacos at Cotija's (.99) as well as the ones at Los Alazanes (when they were $1.50 but they've raised it to $2.50, WTFF!!!!!), and these were about as good as Cotijas. The ones from Alazanes were really bland and at $2.50 each now, waay overpriced. These 2 potato tacos alone were pretty filling too.

Next time, I want to try that barbacoa!

After trying barbacoa at Chipotle a few weeks ago, I've been determined to find a place. Definitely gonna have to go for a couple tacos.
