Lunchtime at Hobbi's Bar-B-Q (Sep 20). One of the close food places my training instructor recommended. [Check out the yelp reviews here as well as a bbq blogger's take on this place and the user reviews on yahoo.]

Simple interior. My instructor let us out at 11:30 a.m. which was a great call because as soon as we sat down, the lunch rush was upon us.

There had to be about 10-15 people in line while we were eating. Nice to know we came to a good place.

The BBQ sauce mixed with the tender meat was really good. The pulled pork pretty much melted in my mouth and the beef was cut thin enough that I didn't have to do much chewing. The only drawback... going back to class on a full stomach. Can you say "sleepy time"?

Close up of the beef and pulled pork.

Two meat combo (beef and pulled pork) with mashed potatoes and green beans. I wussed out and got the "mild" BBQ sauce. I wanted to make sure I'd be comfortable back in the training room. (Yeah, we don't want to have to pull a frantic "shitbreak" do we? That's an "American Pie" reference by the way)

The meat looks really moutwatering, but those beans have to go! Ugh, straight outta
Bert's foodie adventures (or shall I say, BBQ Binge) to be continued...
