Jenny Wenny has skillz!

The very lovely and talented Jenny of the blog Foray into Food made these for me for my pre-40th bday party...Aren't these fab? These are red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, topped with a fondant Chococat, my favorite Sanrio character! I ordered 2 dozen of these bad boys.
These are so cute! And yes, they were delicious!
She also made and extra dozen of another flavor - These are chocolate raspberry with chocolate ganache frosting - of course, topped with Chococat! So cute!!! All the young girls loved them (ranging from ages 7 - 12)!

I was thrilled to finally meet Jenny when I picked up my order. I've been reading her blog for the past year and enjoy her posts, especially her recipes. Not only is she a scientist and a cyclist, she's a Daring Baker! How cool is that? She does cakes and cupcakes on the side, so I thought it would be cool to contact her and place an order. Although not pictured in this post, I also ordered my bday cake from her - that post will be upcoming. The look of my cake was also quite fun. The flavor was banana chocolate chip and it was covered with chocolate fondant with multihued purple polka dots!

Needless to say, the cupcakes were a hit - I especially enjoyed the chocolate raspberries since there were real raspberries in the batter which was to die for) and I could have eaten a tub of that frosting! Everyone also liked the cake - the filling was so moist and flavorful. I loved biting into the chocolate chips (these weren't the cheap small kind either - this was gourmet quality)! Yummmm....

Anyways, Jenny is made of awesome plus she has cool retro specs!!!
